CHAPPELL RECORDED MUSIC '78s'

Chappell Recorded Music is another British Library started in 1941 by Chappell & Co.
Their first release on Shellac was in 1942 with the infamous 1 sided 78's which ran from issue 101 through to 312. From 313 onward (up until an amazing 1025) the releases were standard double siders.

Interestingly, the releases that ran from 313 to 1025 were released on LP Vinyl's (33'') on the well known LPC series, but with the releases prior being rather harder to come by (we are gonna start with around 100 of these releases in the body of this message)
In addition some of these releases (post 313) were released on other LP's from the Chappell series including: Chappell C.I.S. Index Series. CMM Mood Music Releases, and the TCR Telecineradio Releases, usually with altered track titles from their original release.

An incredible amount of the releases prior to 313 were composed, and conducted by Charles Williams; but just like Harmonic, some of the worlds best composers worked for Chappell, including:

Charles Williams [Isaac Cozerbreit] (1893-1978)
Eric Coates (1886-1957)
John Ansell (1874-1948)
Clifton Parker (1905-1989)
Charles Shadwell (1898-1979)
Liza Lehmann (1862-1918)
Rusty Revels
Percy Fletcher (1879-1932)
Montague F. Phillips
John Holliday
etc.

    1. Again, very welcome. I have about 80 more of these to add... And hoping to track down any others. Suffice to say that if you know of anyone that has any 78's, please do let me know.
